Pinterest is a new virtual pinboard which allows you to organise and share content you find around the web. Pinterest is not something like Facebook or Google+ but you can follow people and their pinboards to explore the content shared by them.
Even though Google+ is having tremendous growth in the last few months but according to few reports Pinterest is driving more referral traffic than Google+, Youtube, Linked and Reddit.
Shareaholic, a content sharing tool making company released a report with some interesting numbers. According to this report Pinterest is driving 3.6% referral traffic while Youtube, Reddit, Google+, Linkedin and Myspace together is much lower than that. In December Pinterest accounted for 2.5% and by January it is increased to 3.6%.
